Peacefully, on July 10, 2019, at the age of 96, Mary Stilkowski passed away at East Gate Lodge in Beausejour, MB.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Shirley Rolsky (Bill), Pearl Arnhold (Reg), Irene Bialek (Clarence), Carol Manchulenko (George), Bonnie Stefaniuk (Perry) and stepdaughter Noreen Grandt. She also leaves to mourn her passing her grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Lisa (Daryle) and daughters, Courtney and Brittany; Rose; Les; Heidi (Marc) and children Brycen and Ryla; Holly (Steven) and children, Tyler and Mya; Shelley (Michael) and children, Ashley, Emma and Mason; Pam (Michael); Kimberley (John) and children, Anthony, Damian, Oliver and Abigail; Alexander (Amanda); William (Connie) and son Myles; Allyson (Tony) and children, Braeden, Nickolas, Mikayla and Pierce; Heather (Jarek) and children, Dysin, Jaxsin and Ryder; Justin; Carleen; and Kaitlyn. She is survived by her brother Steve Kies, sister Victoria Hoshowski, sister-in-law Anne Kis, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Mary was predeceased by her husband Nicholas in 1984, her daughter Pauline Krentz and her grandson Steven Krentz, both in 2005, her parents, Peter and Pearl Kies, as well as three sisters, three brothers, and her son-in-law Wayne Krentz.
Mary was born in Sarto on April 15, 1923 and lived most of her life in Stead. She was a hard-working woman who had amazing strength and determination. She loved to square dance and play Bingo, and she enjoyed a shot of whiskey. She was very active with the Stead Seniors. She was a wonderful mother and Baba, who always put her children first.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 16 at the Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church on Park Ave. in Beausejour at 10:00 a.m. with interment to follow in Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery in Thalberg.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the East Gate Lodge Recreation Department.
