With broken hearts we announce the passing of Bill on May 28th, 2018 at the St. Boniface Hospital surrounded by his family at the age of 71. He will be deeply missed and forever loved by his wife Monique of 47 years, sons Alain (Adrienne), Ian (Shannon), grandson Andrew and daughter Tanya (John).
Bill was predeceased by his parents Laura and Gordon Earle, sister-in-law Arlette, mother and father-in-law Ginette & Marcel Lachiver.
He will be deeply missed by his brothers and sisters-in-law Annick (Brian), Michel (Jamie), Suzanne (Patrick), Hubert (Jeanine), Roger, Pierre (Jocelyne), Joel (Francine), Yvon (Tammy), Sandra and all his nieces and nephews.
Bill was one of the kindest and most genuine person this world had to offer. His calm and loving nature never waivered and his character was truly one of a kind. Always so calm with an egalitarian view he made many friends throughout his journey in life.
Alongside Bill’s children and wife, his greatest joy and love was his grandson Andrew. Their time spent together playing crib and golf will never go unforgotten.
During Bill’s 35 years of service with the paper mill he also enjoyed curling, golfing, fishing and travelling. Retirement was even better allowing him all the time he needed to visit with his friends and family, especially his buddies on Dupont street.
Bill lived life to the fullest with candid care and set an example to us as to all as to how life should be lived. Bill had a way of spreading joy to those around him, with his quick wit and good humour there was sure to be laughter and good times while in his company.
We would like to thank Dr. Guzman and his dedicated team at the St. Boniface Hospital for the devoted care they provided Bill in his final days.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Pine Falls United Church, 11am on June 2nd with lunch to follow at the Royal Canadian Legion. A private interment will be held at a later date.

Dear Alain,
There are no words to express our sorrow and we wanted to send our warmest wishes of sympathy to you and your Family. I lost my Mother at a very early age of 57 and even almost 30 years later it still hurts and one has some regrets of not saying enough or not doing enough. We do not know when our number is called, so enjoy every moment and make it meaningful every day to those who you love and I am sure they will appreciate it.
Your Dad worked in the same industry for so many years and he is proud of what you have accomplished thus far and you are not even done as of yet! He will be watching you from up there and be your guiding force!
Stay strong! Live to the fullest just like him – Carpe Diem!
Andre and Kim from NYC

Monique, just got a call from Tanis about Bill’s passing. Diane and I wish to extend our sincere condolences to you and the family. Some many memories, so many laughs I had with Bill growing up in Pine Falls. He knew how to enjoy life and made the most of having a good time whenever he could. There was never a dull moment when Bill was around. I was very fortunate to have that time with him when I was growing up. He may be gone but good friends like Bill, are never forgotten.
