One of those forever friends who would do anything for you at any time, for any reason. Leonard was so inquisitive, so determined, a great listener, a solid family man, just an amazing character. I could continue on and on. He has left us far too soon indeed. But we all know that. We shall miss him dearly. Our sincerely sympathies are extended to all of you, but mostly the love of his life…April.

Biggest hugs and sympathies to the whole family. I grew up in the Hatland house and have so many wonderful memories of Mr. Hatland, both as my friend’s Dad and a coach. He raised a beautiful family and I see his spirit shining through Carrie every time I speak with her. May his spirit continue to shine through them.

Coach Len was the guy that really took ringette to heart and pushed our crew to the best that we could be. We didn’t win every game, but we sure had fun trying. He was a kind soul who always saw our potential, he let us have fun (usually loud) while showing us the nuances of the sport. As a young goalie, he took me under his wing, always making time for me in practice to tailor and refine my skill, while always reminding me off of the ice what it took to be a good team player. He influenced me to be the coach I am today more than anyone else I know. I always knew 2 things about Coach Len; he loved and adored his children and he was hardworking and passionate about what was important to him. He was a great coach, father and friend. My sincere condolences to you April, Carrie, Lane and family.
