1960 ~ 2018
Cynthia died peacefully on February 12, 2018 at the age of 57 with her daughter by her side.
Cindy was born March 28, 1960 in the early morning to Sylvia Thomas (Turcotte). She was raised by her grandparents Melvin and Esther Turcotte in Powerview-Pine Falls, MB.
Her early years were shared with her Aunt Grace and dog Stormy. She spent her summers with her mom Sylvia and step father Roy Thomas and numerous cousins. She loved the lake, going to the drive thru and watching Phantom of the Paradise at the movie theatre. Cindy had two sons Jason (Kandis) and Micheal; married James Hampshire of Lac du Bonnet, MB on Feb. 22, 1979; and had two daughters Shauna and Angela (Jamie).
She raised her family with love, laughter and music and could be found dancing and singing in the kitchen while cooking. She had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren Denisha, Justice, Jeremy, Matthew, Jesse, Abigail, Levi and Brooklyn, and was excited to become a great grandmother later this year. Her last years were devoted to her grandson Jeremy and was so proud of his accomplishments in sports. Cindy will be remembered for her creativity, beautiful smile and sense of humour. She will be missed by her life long friends Tyson and Wilma.
Thank you to the staff at HSC for their effort and care.
A service will take place in the spring.

My condolences to all of Cynthia’s family but especially for Jeremy. Cyndy was a strong and feisty woman. We bonded over books and music and her deep love and concern for her Jeremy. She was so proud of the fine young man he had become. Rest in peace. She will be missed.
