1919- 2016 On October 19, 2016, our Mother Emma passed away peacefully at Calvary Place. We rejoice that by her faith she is now in the presence of her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, reunited with her husband William (Bill), her parents, brothers and sisters and friends before her. Mom was born in Lydiatt, MB Dec. 17, 1919 and attended the local school. After school she was employed in Winnipeg for several years before going to Toronto to seek new adventures. 1945 ~ 2016 Zonie Sylvia (Matchizen) Smolarski, 71, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 17, 2016 at Selkirk & District General Hospital. She entered the world on April 16, 1945 to John and Katie Matchizen. Zonie married Edward Smolarski on Sept. 28, 1963 and they spent most of their life in the country, living on the Matchizen homestead in Thalberg, MB where they raised their family.
