On November 26 surrounded by the love of her family, Pauline Hnatiuk (nee Burbella) passed peacefully at the age of 87, and was reunited eternally with her loving husband, Maurice. She was predeceased by her sisters, brothers and son-in-law. She leaves to mourn her children Ken (Gloria), Marilyn (Bob), Theresa (Elliott) and Richard (Jan); Grandchildren Denise (Josh), Kelly, Alanna (Steve), Erik, Ian (Janine), Colleen, Tegann (Jason), Daniel (Madeleine), Jenna (Jason); Great Grandchildren Austin, Leanne, Devin, Danielle, Chelsea, Adam, Lauren, Alexis, Owen, Lucy and Juno; Sister Mary; Sister-in-law Vera, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Pauline (Lena) was raised by loving parents, William and Mary in Highland Glen. In 1945 she married Maurice and enjoyed 67 1/2 years of life in Tyndall. She loved being a farmer’s wife and together they dedicated their lives to building the family farm. Mom especially loved cooking and baking for her family and friends, as well as gardening, knitting and crocheting, and Barbados holidays. She had a beautiful voice and was a valued member of the choir and all church activities. Her family was her greatest pride and joy.
After Dad passed away in Jan. 2013, Mom had the pleasure of making her home at Seine River Retirement Residence in Winnipeg where she made many good friends and so enjoyed participating in numerous activities and excursions.
Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 2 at 11:00 a.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Avenue E., Beausejour with viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Tyndall Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Tyndall Orthodox Church, Box 298, Tyndall, Manitoba R0E 2B0 where Mom & Dad were lifelong members.
